Stabby Organs is just the latest nom de plume of Cliff Curtis who has been making music for the last thirteen years, with two albums “Out Of Character” and “Paradigm Shift” as Curtis C and a further 3 as part of Character Traits (Shady Characters).
His latest seven track EP “Danger, Cliff!”, with rapid fire poly syllabic story telling rap verses over an up tempo drum beat blended with a live bass and guitar lead pop melody, is set to see the light of day next month but you can find the pre-released videos for two of the tracks below.
You can follow him on Twitter @StabbyOrgans
hello
Good morning!
Continuing the theme started yesterday I give you
Unheard of Instruments in the Saxophone Family

Great video! Can’t watch it all now, but even the first few minutes are fine… Thanks! (Off for now.)
I can’t watch the video right now, but if a giant saxaphone isn’t called a maxaphone, that seems like a missed opportunity.
Good morning everyone!
Hi Justin
Good morning!
Hi Janet
It’s bustling around here this morning, you all! I can barely keep up 🙂
@Janet, it’s due to today’s riveting post, I blame the author
I don’t know about that, I enjoyed it, and I’m looking forward to checking out Stabby Organs.
Garf, you might post that saxy thing on the book of faces. It is very good. Thanks again!
@Janet, you are too kind
@BfO, I just felt like continuing the theme
Ya, well, you lucked out (?) on a fine bit of video that many music fans will appreciate.
Does anyone have a playlist they would like to share for tomorrows post?
That was a very cool sax video!
Well I still have the Manitoba one, and plans to continue Stream of Consciousness and I had a WCMA one that needs adjusting. If nobody else has a playlist that is.
I also have a Halloween playlist made for the end of the month.
@DBS, How about the Manitoba list for tomorrow, Halloween next week and make the Stream of Consciousness the first Friday of each month?
I upgraded your account here to Author so you should be able to create posts.
I’m thinking of posting another unusual instrument video in tomorrows comments, see how long I can keep the streak going 🙂
hello, kidlets!
This is a virtual Friday for me. yay!
Ran in to work, too, and did a bit longer than the normal route. Knees are holding up quite nicely
Hi krib! Nice.
@Garf – Whatever works. 🙂

Hi guys.
R3 just played a Grimes song that I kind of liked. Scream.
http://open.spotify.com/track/1uypCDfLR4FkBcwfbRbNje
I remember talking with Grimes (Claire Boucher) briefly, at Maverick’s, probably five years ago by now. Tiny girl, superstriking in person, bright and quick. And onstage, where she was playing solo, total command and competence. (I can well understand her reactions at people, men mostly, wanting to “help her produce”. KILL.)
I can very much understand it myself. Offering help isn’t bad but assuming because she is a tiny young female that she needs a big strong male to take over is. I respect her, I just don’t always like her music.
I have never listened to a whole Grimes album. I am going to see how it goes while I make carrot soup.
@darbar speaking of playlists; i was listening to Jenn Grant the other day and noticed she has a French song as well. My hands were covered in scone dough so i could not go and see what it was called but it was on Spotify. Just in case you are still adding to that playlist.
I found Bombshell in French on there. Thanks morgana!
I didn’t think I liked Grimes’ music very much, but I really enjoyed Art Angels. I imagine, especially since she is described as tiny, that when men want to “help her produce” it feels very much like they want to take over, and respect her for refusing. I think I like her as a person more than I like her music, for the most part.
My soup is infused with Grimes!
She does make some great music even if it is not my style. I found it very appealing in it’s use of a variety of beats, rhythms, textured sounds but the constant synth and manipulation of her voice is trying on my ears.
@janet I agree with you about the personality over music comment regarding Grimes.
@darbar i left you a little bread crumb trail on that one but I am glad it ended successfully!
Friday Morning Cartunes is on CKCU. Dang!
I heard your name, Benoit.
Yeah, this year, I may have been the first one to pop in some dough. (Sometimes, you just go! Right now!…)
At CKCU, in the funding drive, John’s just thanked the station manager for his contribution! (One of the very few paid staff…)
Maybe it’s not surprising, but it speaks…
