Blood and Glass was created when singer-songwriter Lisa Moore met Montreal-based musician Morgan Moore who helped her finish what would become her first EP. The pair would go on to perform as a duo before being offered free studio time at Planet Studios where they began the recording of their first album. Robbie Kuster joined before the group started performing all over Quebec, Ontario and Northern United States.
Their self-produced first effort, Museum with no Walls (you can listen below), was released in October 2014 and gathered passionate reviews worldwide before The band hit the road again and toured with artists such as Montreal’s beloved Patrick Watson and Ariane Moffatt. They then went on to headline 20 concerts across Italy and came back home to play to full houses all over Quebec, Canada and the United States.
As Lisa Moore puts it: “The ultimate goal behind each of our recordings is derived from an advice we got from Jean Leloup “Quand c’est le fun, c’est bon… et quand c’est pas le fun, c’est pas bon.”[When it’s fun, it sounds good … when it’s not … well, it simply doesn’t sound good]. And that’s the very spirit that has allowed Blood and Glass to maintain their artistic freedom.
Punk Shadows is due to be released tomorrow on Simone Records.
What do you think of the sample track and their previous releases, let us know in the comments bellow.
Hello
Good morning!
Hi Janet, how was your weekend?
Hi Garf! It was good, a little quiet, but I’m not complaining about that. How was yours?
Mine was quiet as well. I spent most of it watching TV or playing on the x-box
Mine took a similar path; I watched the Continental Cup of Curling
Good morning!
I keep forgetting to look for curling at the weekends
who won?
Hi Russ, is that a cat on your shoulder or are you just pleased to see us?
Team North America won. It was very close this year at all, going into the last draw they only needed 3.5 points to win. It was fun to watch though.
I just discovered some of the curling matches* on youtube
*is that the right word?
I’m pretty sure matches is the right word.
Also my above comment should have read that it wasn’t close at all. I really need to proofread before submitting.
According to Wikipedia the correct term is a draw
fair enough draw it is
I am not happy I have an early pass code too buy Hamilton tickets but I don’t have the £40 or so I need to buy them
🙁
HA! Mulder was very climbey this weekend.
Good morning everyone!
Hi Justin
Hello all! I was enjoying Blood and Glass and then I read the part about touring with Patrick Watson and I liked them even more. Ha!
@DBS, I enjoyed listening to the new album as well and I am thinking of buying both albums

And Exclaim has an article about Saskatchewan artist Megan Nash. She also has a great voice.

I’m digging both the Blood and Glass, and the new Begonia!
Just fired up that Lisa Moore track… funky out of the gate!
We have our flights and accommodations for our week in Vancouver booked. I checked to see what other live music was going on while we were there. Tanya Tagaq is playing the same night as the U2 concert we are going to. I would have liked to see a Tanya Tagaq show.
@DBS, you should talk to the YVR3 group about a meetup while you are there
@Garf – Definitely in the plans. Christine and Liz are aware I am coming so far. I will remind them when it gets closer.
G’night folks
Night Garf.
