Fast rising Toronto roots-rockers Chris Gostling & The Tempo have released a new video for the track “A Little More” from their acclaimed debut album, Breath, Blood & Tempo. The clip coincides with the band’s announcement of three consecutive Monday night shows on April 3rd, 10th &, 17th at Toronto’s Cameron House.
“The song is intended to express the fleeting passage of time.” Says Chris “It’s about that feeling of never having enough of something. Playing live with this band has always left me in that headspace so the live footage is really a statement about what my ‘a little more’ is.”
Recorded with John Dinsmore (NQ Arbuckle) at his Toronto studio, Lincoln County Social Club, Breath, Blood & Tempo presents, on one hand, a clear snapshot of the nights Gostling and his group—bassist Adam McNeill, drummer Justin Cathcart and violinist Andrew Proctor—have kept audiences in jam-packed Toronto venues enraptured for hours. At the same time, the album extends a welcome to the uninitiated by presenting a vital new addition to the Canadian folk-rock scene.
Good morning N. America; good afternoon England!
Good morning!
Hello
Has this ever happened to you
Has this ever…: thankfully, no.
Yesterday, in the countryside (the hills, even), the air reached 8 C. Today, in Ottawa, it’s 16 below. I blame the North.
Since, in the most part, I only seem to
bothertalk to Canadian musicians it hasn’t happened to me either… yetThere are reports of shots being fired outside the Houses of Parliament and the Palace of Westminster is reportedly in lockdown.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-39355940
garf, CBC reports many (10?) wounded outside the H of P. (I’m off now, chat later.) Fucking guns, fucking shooters.
The report of 10 is probably untrue. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/breaking-gunfire-reported-outside-houses-10076492
The BBC are reporting there may have been 2 incidents one being a firearm and the other automotive, the dozen injured may be from the second event.
A police officer has been stabbed in the Houses of Parliament in central London, Commons Leader David Lidington has said.
He told MPs the “alleged assailant was shot by armed police” following a “serious” incident.
Yikes! I hate guns.
Chris Gostling sounded pretty good.
It looks like the gun shots were from an officer stopping the suspect from entering the Palace of Westminster via the MP’s entrance
The BBC understands that a police officer who was stabbed in Parliament earlier on Wednesday has died.
Hello! What an awful thing to happen at Parliament today! I’m with Darbar, I hate guns.
Hi Janet!
Stupid humans.
Stupid humans indeed.
