Catherine MacLellan releasing album of Gene’s songs
Fans of Gene MacLellan’s music get a double treat this summer; not only is his daughter Catherine doing a stage show of his songs, she’s also releasing a full album.
Should the federal government help music festivals book big name artists?
The Major International Events Network (RÉMI) and Festivals and Major Events (FAME) are calling on the Trudeau government to give more money to major festivals like Osheaga, the Montreal International Jazz Festival, and Just For Laughs.

Good morning!
Hello
Hello hello! Happy Tuesday!
As a follow up from last week, the Indy 500 was fun! Loud, but a lot of fun. I was a little bummed for Fernando Alonso, his engine failed with less than 20 laps to go, but it was a fun race!
Where were your seats?
Right before turn 1, past the start/finish line. Didn’t get a good vantage point for the Dixon crash (thankfully), but got to see a lot of the passing on the first straight-away.
@Janet. Honda had lost a few engines in the build up to the 500 but I didn’t really worry until the first one quit during the race
Having followed Sato since his days in F1 I was happy to see him win.
I was surprised how popular Helio Castroneves was. He was really the only racer people around me were actively cheering for. I was happy to see Sato win though, I like it when an underdog wins!
Does anybody want anything at the store?
Blackcurrant sugared gumdrops for me, thanks.
I’ll see what I can do
Hi all! I got to escape the dungeon this morning to work on location. A nice lunch was included. Yay!
@BfO, is this the type of thing you were looking for?

@DBS, they should be careful, they might have to start allowing you outside everyday
@Garf – It is a very rare occasion when they do but I like it.
Probably better to work on location in May than in, say January, eh?
@janet – So very true! It was an indoor gig but it still much better than hauling and location changing in cold snowy weather.
G’night folks
@BfO, I couldn’t find any of those sweets, sorry
Night Garf
Those blackberry gumdrops used to be jet black. Colouring, I suppose.
