JUNO Award nominated producer Muneshine recently released a new track “Full Throttle”. Working in collaboration with Canadian mainstays Darcys, the song sees both artists stepping outside their comfort zones to create something brand new. “Full Throttle” is an upbeat, nu-disco single, which is uncharted territory for both the respected electronic producer and art rock duo.
On the collaboration, Muneshine notes “Wes and Jason [Darcys] are great to work with. They’re obviously great songwriters and musicians, but beyond that, we just get along as humans. We share a similar dark and sarcastic sense of humour as well, which makes our sessions an evil pleasure. I love having an idea on my own and finding my own way to express it, but when you bring other people that you trust creatively into the fold and put your heads together you’re forced to explore possibilities that live beyond your own imagination. That’s a beautiful thing.”
Thematically, “Full Throttle” is about escaping what weighs you down – work stress, school stress, relationship stress – a topic that resonates universally. Though from exceedingly different genres, the track shows that an unexpected connection can lead to great things. Brought together by a Rubber Tracks initiative, both artists quickly hit it off and now share a thriving work relationship.
Good morning!
Greetings and salutations!
Hello
Our Indy seats, for many years, were in Turn 3; right under the TV camera.
Those would be great seats, Russ! My stipulation was that I wanted to sit where the seats are covered, if it hints at sunshine I start to burn, so I didn’t want to take any chances.
Oh cool thanks Garf! I’ll check out this playlist now… Good morning everyone!
So how is everyone today?
Hiya! The Muneshine/Darcys track is fun. I don’t think I could handle a whole album of songs like it but a song is pretty okay.
I finally dropped my friend’s bike off to get checked out. I borrowed it last August and it had a bike rack mishap. I planned on taking it in all winter but it didn’t happen.
Darbar – did you see? CBC Music is copying your playlist ideas 🙂

@janet – I did see that! I posted to FB about it. Ha!
They gave me some more artists to add to the playlist.
Arcade Fire!

Hey All! Really a good event last night at the Ceeb, Tiff & I met Peter Mansbridge! And Wendy Mesley.
It’s been a big year… I am so happy to be back in Bend….. August 2015 moved to Portland, once got there, lost girlfriend and job, started new business as a reaction (and I wanted to anyway). The NXNE R3 Toronto trip last year *really* got me through a hard time, thank you R3’ers! Next, left Portland for Phoenix, loved it actually, a family trip to Los Angeles last weekend, and now home back to Bend… I’m so glad to be *home*. So… to answer your question Garf.
How is everyone else?
And for Muneshine…. Liquorhound is still may favourite song, first heard on R3 of course. Man, I wish we could still stream songs from there.
@Wynnsie – I saw yours and Tiff’s Mansbridge pics last night. He seems like a really cool dude. Glad you had fun.
@justin – Big changes you have had for sure! Enjoy being “home” and the continuation of your “journey”.
@Darbar… I will be up in Van and then up to Edmonton mid August to mid September.
The loop –>> Bend, Tacoma, Vancouver, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Missoula, back to Bend. LMK if you’ll be in Edmonton anytime around then. Would be awesome to meet you in person!
That would be awesome Justin. I don’t have any plans to right now but we shall see.
@Darbs, ya he was pretty nice, he went through the whole audience line before the show, shaking hands and chatting with everyone
@Justin, I worked for myself for a couple years, rewarding and tough at the same time, I ended up working a lot on weekends, just the nature of some of the projects I picked up.
@Wynn… I’m in a project now…. man, I’ve learned a few lessons, make sure you have a clear scope and don’t let the client run away with your time. I told them not to add this ‘feature’. It’s resulted in over a month of extra work and a decline in shopping cart performance (e-commerce site). As you know, that’s way they wanted! #rant . But, it’s almost over so I’ll be happy to get paid.
Ya the good clients understand this type of Scope Creep, and in my experience I only ever had 1 or 2 like that. Most think they can get away with adding stuff, and the worst part is they seem to leverage the whole payment thing around that.
I have 6 more days to decide on my Polaris long list ballot. It ain’t easy.
