I don’t know if this is an indication of how fast technology is advancing or how slow government procurement moves, but I think the raccoon translator’s robo-voice — which I guess is available online on a raccoon’s budget — sounds about as convincingly human and un-grating as the one GO just finished paying presumably obscene amounts of money to announce train stops.
