Good morning!
hello
This guys voice sounds familiar
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSeTSV1NYxc&t=17m04s
Gee, that segment with G.L. almost sounds like an argument for CBC to get involved seriously, once more, in contemporary music.
This is a test to see if a new site addon works
it didn’t
never mind
I was wrong, you can now edit your comments up to 5 minutes after posting them
Hello hello! Nice to see Grant Lawrence is still the voice for indie music at CBC.
Garfield: how?
There should be an edit link that appears under your comment with a countdown timer
test commend! IT WORKS!, even with my old system!
And you can do it twice. (I edited comment to commend the first time I did it a second time, um…)
Great feature! Pleases me no end…
@BfO, it is a direct result of the request you made a few days ago (that and it means I don’t have to feel bad for editing other peoples comments, even if they are to make changes they wanted)
Many thanks!
The first item on q today is about Leonardo da Vinci. Very interesting; I learned a few things. Then a great Milk and Bone tune. There’s also going to be an item with Sarah Slean at some point.
It’s something I should have done a while ago
A “did” outweighs many “shoulda-done”.
Today’s q conversation with Sarah Slean is a rerun — I didn’t hear the very beginning, and CBC may have said so. The fact is that I’ve heard at least one segment of this interview before.
Gonna try this comment re-edit feature now. Good day all.
Nice work Garf! I like it.
all I did was install an add-on and activate it, but thank you
Nice edit feature Garf.
Speaking of editing…the post up top looks a bit confusing to me at the end of the 3rd paragraph. It could be my foggy brain but take a look.
“Donations will be accepted Throughout the month of December.”?
More this sentence “Every day, from December 1 to December 25, a different member choir will highlight one charity registered on the group’s media channels and Why They explain Personally advocated for icts selection.”
Ah, thank you. The in house proofreader will be taken out and flogged until they stop enjoying it.
I have edit it to read “Every day, from December 1 to December 25, a different member choir will highlight one charity on the group’s media channels and explain why they personally advocated for its selection.”
That makes more sense to me. My foggy brain thanks you. 🙂
Good day folks.
How was everyones weekend?
No music to get to this weekend for me but that is better because these elves were too busy anyway.
Hi Morgana
Hi Morgana!
I had a busy weekend with 3 play performances and visiting family that were in town for my nieces wedding. I missed the wedding because of the play but I hear it was nice.
@darbar Now that is a busy weekend! Is that the end of the run of the play? No getting sick now!
@garfielduk thank you for the new feature. I hope that it will reduce the amount of apology posts I end up typing …
CCC is doing more that making good music!!! I like their 25 days of charity. Thanks for letting us know about it.
I spent most of the weekend asleep and/or procrastinating over the next podcast (and if I should do it at all)
That run is done but tonight I continue on with rehearsals for the next play that will run in mid February.
@garfielduk Do what ever makes you happy. If you like making the podcasts then go for it. My little thought is that December is busy and distracting for most. It makes it hard to spend the time doing things we enjoy like being here. Maybe save your ideas for January when most will be more attentive. Like I said though, go for it if you like to:)
@darbar no rest for the actors hey! Is your son in the next play as well?
Shoot, look at the time!
Speaking of December being a busy time of year … GTG kids.
If you are here at the end of the day I’ll catch up with you then.
His role was bigger in the Miracle Worker so he decided to skip auditions for Drinking Habits but will most likely be on the stage crew.
See you later!
Re: the podcast – If there were another one I would love to listen to it, but I agree with Morgana, do it if it you would like to, particularly in this busy time of year.
@Garf – I agree with Morgana on the podcast. We enjoy them but don’t stress about it. If you enjoy doing it, go for it but we can wait.
I have ideas for the podcast but I am more worried about the production standards and the script (if you told any of my teachers I was writing scripts, as bad as they may be, they would never believe you)
I have a short list for the December show but I need to roughly half it down to the 8 tracks plus Ivan (is it really Christmas without him now?) If you want to help with the cull you can find WRP003 playlist on Spotify.
I did the first show in 4 or 5 days and I have a week for this one.
There are good and bad things about living here. One of the bad things is that my housemate has no idea about using headphones so I can hear what he is watching, this somewhat offset at the moment by the fact he is currently alternating between ST:TNG and My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.
Haha! Oh the joys of housemates.
I will be doing a Holiday playlist on the 22nd so I added a couple of your songs to my playlist. I look forward to the podcast.
Three Generations by Hawksley Workman makes a lot of other Christmas music tolerable for me.
@Garf, I say “do it” regardless. There’s nothing wrong with being creative!
feel free to let me know when I start doing that 🙂
You do that every single day my friend.
I fear success way more than failure. If I fail it was fun trying something different, if I succeed I might be asked to do it again and next time it has to be better (or at least as good).
but enough with the pity party.
I’m getting my own back, I am watching that regularly shout Hurry, Hard &, Clean. That’s right, I am watching the curling on TSN.
And with the game TSN is showing, you’re definitely going to be able to get back at your housemate, with Carey yelling “hardhardhardhardhard” all game!
Also, I was watching the morning draw on my phone when the Provost of the university walked by. That was a little embarrassing, but not bad enough to stop me from watching the 2pm draw 🙂
my live feed keeps cutting out
Spreadable coffee is now a thing

interesting. I would try it.
I’d give that a try, at least once.
they don’t ship to Canada (I don’t know about the States) but if it is still there in the new year I might ship some to you.
I’m headed out now, but I’ll chat with you all tomorrow!
ttfn
Ciao!
I’m glad I watched that curling draw? I should look up to see when Jones & Carey play each other
Wednesday 2pm EST (7pm UK)
“The in house proofreader will be taken out and flogged until they stop enjoying it.” That’s pretty great.
