Good morning!
Good day.
I see ‘Bahamas’ up there. I heard a newish song of his a couple of times, probably off the upcoming album, and dang! it’s really good. Just as likely to propel future shows as his past hits have done. The guy’s a master of the sultry, slow-cooking song.
Bahamas and The Weather Station headed here next year.
The Weather Station is a treasure. Astoundingly quiet.
That said, for her latest album, it seems she’s gotten herself a really appropriate backing band. Heard one song, and it rocks. (Which reminds me: I tried to get her CD weeks ago, and it wasn’t in the store. Must get.)
Hello, I didn’t think anyone would be here today
I am one. But not anyone.
How philosophical, or something.
allow me to rephrase
I wasn’t expecting any comments today
Oh, hey, I was just wordplaying, nothing serious there!
I know
NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition!
Oh, wait…
q’s replaying interviews, and the last one today is with Ed Sheeran. Brilliant guy, really. Highly articulate. Level-headed and straight-on.
I haven’t heard many of his interviews but those that I heard caught make him sound a step above your average (stereotypical) pop musician
Also, q (re)played a song by Oh Wonder. Wow, what a song. It’s the title tune Ultralife from their 2nd, and latest, album.
In case I’ve whetted anyone’s interest, podcast items are on http://www.cbc.ca/radio/q
Just poppin’ in to say Hi!
Hi!
hello
Good day everyone!
hey, good basement dwellers.
Happy New Year. I’m off tomorrow so probably won’t be checking in, although who knows, because it’s too effing cold to do anything outside right now (-41 windchill this morning!)
This bitter cold is unwelcome right now but you take what Mother Nature gives you. I am managing to get a few things done at home at least.
There will be a playlist for tomorrow. I somehow will still be finishing it at midnight I am sure.
