Rebecca Emms’ latest electropop project, TOVI, will be releasing a new track on Friday, and we have the good fortune to be able to share it with you a couple of days early.
Rebecca started putting together song ideas for her new project TOVI in late 2016, not long after her split from her previous band Girl Meets Bear.
89 San Francisco is the first track from her forthcoming debut solo EP, Midnight Hum, that is slated for release next month. The track itself was created with the help of recording engineer/producer Mike Rocha (Electric Youth, Greys, Black Pistol Fire) at a downtown Toronto studio in July 2017.

Hello
Greetings and salutations!
Good morning!
We heard the meteor but did not see it.
I wondered what you were talking about on facebook

That’s the one.
The sky is falling! The sky is falling!
Better start working on those apocalypse plans folks. The end is near!
Until then, let’s keep listening to good music.
Cool vibe in that TOVI track up there. Nice!
Hi Candy
Hiya Garf
Listening to cool music as the world ends sounds like a good plan to me!
Rebecca was kind enough to reach out and share her music with us via facebook.
She was also kind enough to let me know that the “get in touch” button (down and to the right) wasn’t working meaning I could fix it
I saw that convo. hehe. Good thing to know!
Right Janet!? Seems like a good plan to me. 😀
Has everyone checked out Dan Mangan’s Side Door project. Connecting Hosts/Artists/Music lovers. One day I hope to have a space I could host in.

I would love to have a house show here and I mentioned that soon after I moved in but the housemate isn’t keen.
When I move out I should make the lounge into a live music space, along with bunk beds in the guest room, and live in the rest of the house
Wouldn’t that be awesome!
I can already imagine the neighbours complaints
haha! Invite them and maybe they won’t complain.
A friend of mine left school with qualifications in Whisky distilling and Latin and ended up Non compos mentis… I left school with an A in English a B in Math and C in Art, but spelling was never my strong point…

Ooh I will have to check that article out later!
I just dropped Devin off to do a voice over demo at a local studio. Send positive vibes out to the universe that he gets a gig from it please. 😀
Sending positive vibes yours and Devin’s way!
Thanks Janet!
I have every confidence that Devin will knock the socks of anyone that hears his demo
Well that’s pretty positive indeed! Thanks Garf!
He texted “It’s over, now the self doubt begins”. I really really hope something happens from it.
Waiting is always the hard part. I hope he gets something really awesome from it!
It’s the kind of thing he may not find out for a long time. It just puts his voice in the bank and if something comes up that they want a voice like his, then he may get a call. My hope is that he gets called in and then can use those for getting other voice acting jobs, etc. etc. Yes this waiting for things to happen is hard…for me too!
Just to be on the safe side, can I get his autograph now, so I can
sell it when he becomes famousbe ahead of the crowd?Ha! I will see what I can do.
I did see that in action with a young actress in our community theatre group. She is 10 and is a very good little actress. I think some people think she is the next Tatiana Maslany, who is from Regina and did perform on our stage. There were people getting the young girl’s autograph after our last play.
I loved watching her in Orphan Black and she was great in Grown Up Movie Star alongside Johnny Harris
Is anyone else planning on watching Crawford next month. I was thinking about giving the pilot a go at least, if only for the raccoon, but they are using Lovely Allen in the promo videos as well.
I loved Tatiana Maslany in Orphan Black too, she was amazing! I haven’t seen Grown Up Movie Star, but I’ll have to check it out.
Sounds like something to check out! Lovely Allen is a good start.
I haven’t actually seen Orphan Black yet either but Tatiana seems like a lovely person and we are all very proud of her.
I still remember watching the first episode of Orphan Black, there was a scene on a platform in Union Station but they had tried to hide the fact it was a Go Train by changing the green to blue. Needless to say it didn’t work
g’night folks
