Hi, Our Basement!
Hope the day is going great!
My new single, “How It Feels,” portrays different layers of angst and emotion. I wrote it during my time in LA while I was dealing with the dark side of a relationship, and the end of something that, ultimately, fucked with my head.
My passion for songwriting began early on in my life. By the time I was 14, I had released a country album under the name Mackenzie Rose. Just three years later, I ventured out to Los Angeles for a year, where I lived with Kiesza, Jenna Andrews, and Ron Perry, and recorded a studio session with Felix Snow. I also had the incredible opportunity to work with JordanXL, who has worked with Mike Posner and a multitude of other creative minds.
At 19 years old, I’m as ambitious as ever and continue to chase after my dreams no matter what challenges arise. With the power of music, I strive to create change in the lives of others, empowering them to heal, transform, and continue the legacy of expansion.
Props to Live In Limbo for premiering the “How It Feels” video:

Good morning everyone!
Hi Justin
@BfO, the tickets work out at about 45 Canadian Doll Hairs, but I have until November to save up before she gets here (or should I say Leeds & London)
How It Feels Right Now is that I am glad to have the option to listen to something else, that is how it feels right now!
How terribly rude and uncanadian!

An old Vancouver song that came to mind when I saw GL post about the Slow concert.
If you feel like listening to the lyrics you will hear what I mean …
@Morgana, I hope to attend yes but I will have to budget in a bed somewhere this time (the last bus back is too early)
@garf you have a while to plan and budget. I hope you can pull it off.
So, these posts like this…are they unsolicited emails because someone discovers that OB exists as a thing?
I
@krib, yes, I post them with very little editing because I like the idea of the artist talking to us as a group without me being any more of a gatekeeper than I have to be (and I am not a writer)
@Morgan, I just booked a room for the night, I don’t have to pay until I get there and I can cancel for free up to 5 days before the date. The gig tickets are not out until Friday and then I just have to wait until the cheap rail/bus tickets go on sale in August. I might go down early and return late so i can spend as much time as possible in Leeds.
Now I just need to find poutine in Leeds
