Good day Our Basement – today we have new music!
“The Tide” is the second feature track from our upcoming new album, 11:11.
The collection of tracks on the record are best described as “musical photographs”. A moment in time turned dance party, true story turned love song, a daydream turned eerie alt-pop lullaby. Real world inspiration. The forthcoming album sees the continued theme of “cycles” in human nature.
We hope to take the audience on an emotional roller coaster, these new songs truly reflect our stories. Although very personal and coming from very different places, our collective experiences feel somewhat universal.

Good morning!
hello
taking a break from watering to say hello and eat my breakfast that has been sitting on the counter for a few hours …. the fresh berries from the garden made it worth the wait:)
The Tide has a catchy, unabashed pop beat. I think my kid might like it. Mind you I thought she would like Frase and she didn’t so what do I know. We have been listening to and picking the acts that we think are our must see performers at Kaslo Jazz Etc Festival. My kids number ones Buffy Saint Marie. Her and her cousin are stoked for Too Many Zooz and of course I am more into the CanCon; Cave Singers, Shred Kelly, Carmanah, Moontricks, Clinton Swanson … My Mom and I are also looking forward to some quality jazz from Mavis Staples as well as several bluegrass bands this year. Such a great festival to have so much variety!
@Morgana, all you can do is to introduce ABC to good music and hope some of it rubs off
@morgana – My ROMO is setting in already. Sounds like it will be a great time. I am looking forward to Gateway Music Fest this weekend and RFF in a couple weeks. Yay for festivals!!
@garfielduk Enjoying a variety of music is great for ABC and me et al!
She has not figures out listening to lyrics yet. Last night she was blasting a tune because she liked the beat. I asked her to listen to the words which were misogynistic and completely offensive.
@darbar I have ROMO that you aren’t joining in as well. We can only be so many places at once;) We must plan better for next year!!
if I like a beat but not the lyrics I might look for the instrumental (or introduce her to deadmau5, kid koala and, air)
I think we should all descend on Nelson for the last week in May (2019 obv)
Why the last week in May? I would rather go the first week of August!
I will try again for next year morgana!
because that’s when I’m planning on being there 🙂
and google flights doesn’t even get to the end of June next year
if I fly from London to Vancouver in May and leave 2 weeks later it would cost £400 if I do that in August it would cost £544
Ahh gotcha
the other reason for choosing May is that we leave the EU on March 29th, so I can escape soon after this place falls apart
I just hope it is OK with Morgana
We are in a flurry of planning! I was busy learning about college life and sending my kid links.
Where will I be in March? Probably here. It is about the ugliest time of year to be here; snow melting, dark and dreary mess. I would love to be elsewhere but my head has to reattach to the rest of my body first. If I am here you are welcome to come and cheer me up:)
While I had been looking at March (get out of my head) I am thinking of the end of May (https://www.google.co.uk/flights?lite=0#flt=LGW.YVR.2019-05-19.LGWYVR0TS677*YVR.LGW.2019-06-02.YVRLGW0TS794;c:GBP;e:1;sd:1;t:f)
Having said that, can I really say I love Nelson if I have only been there when it is warn?
Ah, most of the deicing sand and dog poop has been cleaned by the end of May. That is a well priced flight!
Nelson is a pretty sweet little town. I am currently hiding from the heat but I know a lot of people do like it.
The plan, as it stands, is to spend a day or 3 in and around Vancouver (annoy Grant a bit and meet Lisa*) before travelling to Nelson for a week then return to Vancouver for a few more days before heading home (unless we have gone to hell by then in which case I will be looking for churches where I can claim sanctuary)
*Lisa is the only regular R3 host at the time I started listening that I have not met yet.
just in case

St James in Kits is my preferred location for shows however
I will keep that in mind 😀
