Our Basement,
In a season of both personal and social thresholds and change, I wanted to create an optimistic indie-pop anthem for 2018’s dwindling days of summer and beyond. I began working with producer Chris Walla (Death Cab For Cutie) after sending him demos while he was living north of the arctic circle in Norway. We quickly adopted a consistency is boring mantra with the new material.
“Go With You” is a song about change and vectoring forward into the unknown without regret. I love the synth lines and the hi-hat drums. It’s a departure for me, both sonically and rhythmically, and I’m very into it.
After splitting my time between Seattle and the mountains of British Columbia, and getting married, I’m taking my music in particular – and my life in general – across a threshold, through an open door, and into the unknown.
Mike Edel

hello
Is anybody out there?
I’m here, lurking in the shadows
just popped in, need something to listen to. Tried the above song out … not my cuppa. When I read producer for Death Cab, I thought “maybe”. But, no. Sorry. That’s ok though.
I’m just kind of listening to oldies music that reminds me of being at the cottage right now… cause that’s where I’d rather be!
Hey all! I am back from the dusty trail. It was very hot and dry out in the badlands. I had a good time and heard some great music. Our new tent trailer worked out nicely for the festival. I was able to get a few photos that I will probably share later this week.
Mike Edel’s track sounds pretty good. Pop isn’t my thing much either but it’s a lovely little tune.
