hello
Well hello! I didn’t think we were going to have any new releases today, but you found plenty.
I even surprised myself
I can hardly keep up with all these comments
haha! Sorry. I comment and run all the time.
My son was on an early flight this morning to Edmonton for a seminar. He arrived there safe and sound and my brother picked him up at the airport.
I’m glad to hear that he arrived safely
Me too! Thanks.
Oh goody! Lot’s of new tunes:)
Hi Morgana
Isn’t it fun putting our kids in flying tin cans?
My kid made her first sola flight last year; it included a delayed departure and barely making a connecting flight but she did very well with talking to flight attendants and making sure she would make the connection.
She is retracing her steps this coming spring. I hope it goes just as smooth or even easier for her/us.
Other than unaccompanied minor flights when he was a kid, this was my 25 year old’s first solo flight. My concern with him was the medical stuff he has to take along, so I went with him and his girlfriend to make sure that got figured out alright. We booked a direct flight for him for this one even though it cost a bit more. He will have less to deal with on the way home and should be good to handle any future ones on his own now. One more step on our breaking our co-dependency. 🙂
Your kid is far more independent than mine. Good for her!
does anyone know of a Canadian cover of Baby, it’s Cold Outside?

@darbar I can certainly see why you would want to make sure your young man made it on the flight with his necessary equipment! over our years on road and flight travel I have had our girl take the lead hoping that the practise would come in useful. She has never had to deal with crossing vast airports for connecting flights on her own. I too dislike that. One step at a time indeed:)
@garfieldUK good day. working on WR podcast?
@DBS, I went with the Anne Murray & Micky Bubbles version
@morgana, just making a start on the playlist for Monday, I don’t want to be putting it together at the last minute… again
Speaking of the podcast, I should get my act together and ask another former R3 host if they would be willing to submit a track list for the March episode
Looking at the twitter feed on our site and decided to read what Nick Cave wrote; absolutely beautiful!
Good plan, I don’t like the last minute stuff either @garfieldUK.
That will be fun to see/hear who you get to create a playlist for the March WR podcast.
Grant did the last one but I was thinking of asking Lisa this year
speaking of Mondays podcast, would you be willing to share the recipe for some of the cookies you posted on facebook (please)
It would be great to catch up with Lisa and learn what she is enjoying listening to these days.
many cookies have been made in this house lately. which recipe would you like?
biscotti, ginger snaps, jam thumbprint, mexican wedding cake, rum balls, shortbread, gingerbread tee pee …
GTG.
Back later to check which recipe you would like. I’ll probably use messenger to send it to you.
you can hear her on CBC R1 on the afternoon show where she does traffic and arts along with a podcast she has with Andrea Gin Pop This: http://popthiscollective.tumblr.com/

I quite enjoyed the podcast while making soup. Thanks @garfieldUK
