Hey Our Basement,
We’ve all had nights we never want to end.
When the morning comes, I try to let that mood trickle over.
I met a guy after a great show and it felt like I was on top of the world. We had a whirlwind of an evening but in the morning, he was gone and the buzz from the night before had settled.
My new song, “‘Til the Morning,” is about tipping your hat to the night before and going about a brand new day.
“‘Til the Morning” was produced by Montreal duo Pops & Poolboy. It was recorded in the middle of summer at my home studio after going sober for a month. There was an ease to recording this one – not only was my voice in good shape, but I had a clear approach to the song. We kept the very first take. I remember my friend Simone came over after the session and we just sat on my balcony in the sunshine, listening to Poolboy mix the tune through an open window.
I make an effort to find pleasure in what can be mundane day-to-day activities, but sometimes it’s all about kicking off your shoes the moment you come home.
Thanks for listening!
Claire Ridgely
I like Claire’s blurb. Simple, unaffected. Must listen to the music soon.
And good morning.
Wow. Some lonely here.
hello, sorry
No matter. It’d be nice if more ex-R3ers dropped by, but that train has gone.
I think most of them were there for the radio hosts, and we don’t have those
Sorry, I’m here lurking in the background again.
Busy day at work.
don’t your bosses know that you have better things to do at work!
so is anyone planning in having pancakes today? (or is Pancake Tuesday just a British thing?)
Sometimes I don’t think they know what I do.(ha ha) But seriously sometimes I have to do something, to make my presence known, if nothing else.
Our church had their pancake supper on a Saturday night, Feb 23rd, I think it was. They also had a talent night after the dinner to keep everyone entertained.
Of course, it is an Anglican (Church of England) Church.
@Scott, I’m sorry. You would think that the UK had messed your country up enough without messing up your spiritual lives
Don’t be sorry. We aren’t aware that our spiritual lives are messed up. (ignorance is bliss and all that)
can we have an agreement that we don’t discuss the next US elections until at least the Fall
How about the Canadian election?? just kidding
we could have a “no election talk until 3 months before the vote date”, thought?
I’m OK with that!
I’ll give it until the end of the day so everyone can comment
The real question for Shrove Tuesday is,,, Are you going to have a paczki?

I would love to have 1 (dozen) paczki
now I am craving perogies
I have to go out after work & see if I can find a paczki. I’m not in Windsor so it may be difficult.
I guess I’ll find out how big of a Polish influence there is in Barrie.
The nearest Polish store that I know of is a bus ride away in Sunderland so none for me.
Having said that, I may find myself on a course in Sunderland soon so, I may have a chance to visit the store more often
You bad guys!

I’ll take 1 of each
I tell a lie, hold the prune one
I have never heard of paczki but it seems like something I would like. Sweet and fattening seems to be my thing. :-/
Hi! Still being kept busy at the other studio these days.
what is it with all these bosses expecting their staff to actually do work!
It’s an epidemic!
What is the world coming to?
