Hi Our Basement,
My name is TILSEN and I was singing before I could speak.
As the daughter of an opera singer, I’ve formed a deep affinity with the human voice.
I spend a lot of time reflecting on my life and my relationships, documenting my thoughts and feelings in my lyrics. My debut single is about the pain of love.
When you love somebody, they hold a lot of power over your emotions; to make you super happy but also super sad. It’s when you feel indifferent that you should worry –your feelings for them may be gone.
Love isn’t about being perfect or always getting along. It’s accepting another person and caring about them through the ups and downs, flaws and all.
Thank you for listening! My plan for 2019 is to release more music and play shows. I find that I learn quite a bit about my songs from playing them in a live setting; how they feel to perform and how the audience reacts can influence how the production is developed in studio. I’m excited. 😊
TILSEN
Good Morning
Hi Scott!
HI Benoît,
How are things, any signs of spring yet?
Reluctantly, slowly, yes. Let’s say it’s good maple sap weather: 34 F day, but 20-23 at night. Or maybe 17… So melting is very slow, not a bad thing in itself, given all the snow on the ground. Tomorrow, we’ll finally get to 42-43!
Good morning! I am up early and out for the day. Working on location this week so won’t be around much.
Royal Canoe and nêhiyawak tonight!! Woooohoooo!!!
Yes it will be good to have a slow melt & let the moisture get into the ground.
It would be good to have a good maple sap season too.
HI DarBar, have fun on location.
We went from brutally cold to very warm. We are at 8 and 9 above all week. Crazy!
Thanks Scott. It will be nice to be out of the dungeons. 🙂
A change is as good as a rest.
(darbar)The Polar Vortex has been ‘drunk’, as I recently read.
Hola
Hi Tiffany!
hello
Good morning friends.
Hi Tiffany, Garfield, & Morgana
I was hoping to hang out today and chat more about the Juno’s but I forgot that I have to go out to a physio appointment.
I’m frustrated because none of my in person friends know what the heck I am talking about when I prattle on about how on earth a Shawn Mendes song wins songwriter of the year over Donovan Woods. Sigh!
Well downtown did not take as long as I expected so I am back.
Other Juno comments I have;
thrilled for Gordon Grdina. I really like his instrumental album, much more than the work he did as part of Blacksmith with Dan Mangan.
Going back a decade or so I had many opportunities to enjoy Gryphon Trio so I am happy for them too.
I am disappointed in myself that I did not know the artist in the breakthrough artists category. Perhaps I can put it down to Polaris being more Indie and Juno’s being more popular … thoughts?
I would definitely agree that the Juno’s lean more towards the popular
Thoughts, about the Junos and Mendes/Woods: yeah the Poles are more “strictly artistic”, whereas with the Js, even if some awards are “artistic merit”, many are at least in part commercial sales-based. Which I believe may explain Mendes/Woods.
And my computer just decided to take a personal day
On the phone instead.
I just arranged for a friend and I to go see Donovan Woods next week.
Jenn Grant is here soon as well but I have seen her a number of times (and loved her) but I have yet to get out to DW.
Strange; I can open tabs on my Mac but can not click on content within a window …. shut it down and try again I suppose
have you thought about buying a real computer (runs away)
When you come back bring me some money and I will happily comply.
This one just about 10 years old.
Morgana, not to be a bitch, but that’s really old. (So is my iMac, but I did finally get my operating system updated). Maybe make yourself a little computer stash — put 20 or 40 or 100 dollars into it when you can, and after some months…
the only money I have is promised to the tea delivery man in the morning (mostly to cover the debt from last time)
Tea is a priority.
It appears a reboot did the trick so you are off the hook.
Good idea B from O; I think that after the kid graduates this spring I will be able to start tucking money aside.
if you do switch to a different style of home computer I would be willing to offer 24/7 in person tech support in return for me being allowed to reside in the lower floor art and crafts room
I doubt we will move away from Mac but you are still welcome to come back for a visit
OK, time to lift some weight s with my eyes and listen to Donovan Woods.
Has anyone listened to this past Sundays Strombo?
nope, sorry
somebody keeps drinking my tea!
I think it might be Polly Esther (the dog)
