Hello
G’day. It’s dismal here
Snow and freezing rain have caused several accidents on our highways, including rollovers and the inevitable “car coming after the accident and then driving into another pole” type of thing. Glad I can choose to stay in.
I am meant to go out and pick up some bread, but I can’t be bothered
(does anyone want to order me some takeout online?)
I never do delivery, and hardly ever take-out. I mostly cook my own. Cooking is fairly straightforward. (That said, I do buy the odd prepared frozen thing, like pizzas.)
but that would mean leaving the house to buy food
Why yes, it would. An excellent thing in itself, from many points of view.
Nasty weather is a great reason to stay in and cook. A friend drove me here to pick up my groceries order yesterday afternoon. https://www.omfoods.com
I had to wait my turn in the kitchen as my kiddo was making her cousin a birthday cake from her Great Grandmothers cookbooks. I made a number of foods that I can take on the road with me in preparation for driving to Calgary and Kelowna.
Soon I will have early season Asian veggies and spinach to eat directly from the garden. Thank goodness for friends who help me dig gardens and drive me to collect groceries.
I have a meeting this afternoon but first I am enjoying my tea with Wild Racoon.
I love WR’s “voice” on the podcast:)
Savoury cookie indeed. Nice contribution from Wild Child.
Who is Conner?
BTW the edit feature comes and goes … mostly goes.
@Morgana, Conner is the artist formerly known as Wendy. She chose to change her name a few months ago.
@GarfieldUK Got it. Thanks for the inside scoop.
There’s a(n) edit feature?
there was one but I need to fix it
Ah. I thought there was one in this version of things.
Back from my meeting.
I also had a nice visit with my neighbour and her dog. Not the one that bit me last week.
Is it nap time now?
