Q1, Would you like to introduce yourself?
Hi! I’m Calen Trentini, i’m the lead vocalist and drummer of the alt-rock band CIVILIANA. My bandmates Adam Wilson, Spencer Daley and Dan Ponich and I recently released our new single and video, “Carry a Light”.
Q2, Are you a good cook?
I am a good cook! My family has Italian heritage so we very much embrace the culture of cooking, eating, drinking and entertaining. Truth is, the best cook in our band is by far Spencer. I used to come by his house in high school and he’d always be watching The Food Network.
Q3, If you could relive one moment in your life, which would it be?
Back in 2009, Jack White performed with The Dead Weather at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver. It was an amazing show to attend and given the band’s history, it seems to be a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Q4, What causes would you actually fight for?
I do my best to support any cause or lifestyle choice that protects our environment. Although individual efforts of my own such as eating less meat often feel akin to rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic!
Q5, What was the last movie you saw?
They Shall Not Grow Old.
Q6, When did you last feel guilty?
Today. I forgot to buy Spencer a ticket to see Death From Above 1979 for when they come to Vancouver in May. I hope he can find one on the resale market because I’m pretty certain it’s sold out now. Sorry, Spencer.
Q7, Who is your favourite actor?
Oscar Isaac
Q8, And, most importantly, what is your favourite type of cookie?
Definitely the answer for me is peanut butter chocolate chip!

Gooood day. Looking forward to some of yesterday’s snow melting.
“A Place to Grow” is apparently to be the license plate slogan for Ontario. Not “Open for Business”. I still wonder what the French version will be. “Un endroit où grandir” sounds translationny and yuck.
And of course, the suggestion was immediately made that people should add a marijuana leaf right after A PLACE TO GROW.
hello
Good Morning. License plate slogans are generally pretty corny, but A Place to Grow is the worst.
Those are random questions alright. Poor Spencer. I like Civiliana’s song.
well, I was getting comments that the questions were not random enough (or at all)
Good morning-isa.
Bad move to forget to buy your buddy a ticket! The up side? Maybe Spencer has some good leverage for not carrying gear for a while …
Very excited about this line up

stop teasing me Morgana!
@GarfieldUK If it makes you feel any better I have never been to Tiny Lights either so I am teasing myself too.
is it nap time yet?
is everyone already asleep?
Nope, not asleep, I was outside. It’s sort of nice, melting quite a bit. Was sunny. Now, cloudy. And they’re threatening us with springlike weather over the next few days.
no rain expected here for a while, and we might even see the Sun on Saturday
I was outside too. Scratching a few more wee spots in the yard.
I think we are going to get thunder soon. It is actually a little warm and muggy … yet another moment that I miss my fur girl, Suki. She did not like thunder and would make a scene at least an hour before the storm arrived. A weather vein extraordinaire.
A nap would be great. I had a terrible sleep last night. I blame it on Whitney. I started watching a documentary on Miss Houston before bed. I should have stuck with Our Planet.
I was planning on watching the SpaceX launch tonight but they have pushed it back so I think I will have an early night instead
(if you can call 11pm early)
morgana, I’ll be the first (here) to say it: It’s probably not too early to start thinking about adopting…
No, not a kid, but a pup.
IMO, which doesn’t count because only yours really does, getting another dog would no disrespect to Suki; and comparisons would not happen much, any 2 dogs being so individualistic. Anyway. No answer required.
“would BE no…”
