Our playlist this week is full of tracks from artists that were nominated for WCMAs earlier this week. Foxwarren, Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Dan Mangan, Jill Barber and more are all up for awards. Dan Mangan garnered a lot of nominations this year and is sure to win a couple. I was very happy to see Foxwarren and Royal Canoe on the list and would love to see them get awards. I am of course very proud of the Saskatchewan artists that are nominated as well. So many well deserving artists to be found and more great music for us.
We will find out who the winners of the awards are at BreakOut West. BreakOut West is an annual music event that includes a four-day conference, three-night music festival, and the Western Canadian Music Awards. This year it will be held in Whitehorse, Yukon October 2 – 6, 2019.
Until then we can enjoy the playlist. Who are your favourites?

Hello from the DH9 Radio Studio, we go live at the top of the hour
Good Morning,
Have fun Garf.
Thanks for the playlist DarBar.
Hi Scott
You are welcome Scott. How exciting Garf!
Hi DBS
I did about 40 minutes and survived
CONTRATS!, Garf!
Way to go Garf! I have to go back for another practice run before I start my show. April was just too busy for it. I am hoping I will get going in the next few weeks.
It is exciting to hear about your efforts on the radio @GarfieldUK. You are next @darbar. You two are inspiring!
This looks like a great playlist for me to take outside today.
Something I do know how to do is garden even if it is just at a snails pace. That is my plan for today; tunes as a I putter in the dirt:)
Enjoy the music and the dirt morgana!
I had started 2 other playlists this week and then these nominations were announced and I switched gears again.
@darbar now you are ahead of the game with two other playlists started!
I have come inside to take another break.
I have some bills and a warranty thing to take care of so some sitting on hold is my break. There is actually good hold music on the Manitobah Mukluks line; Canadian Indigenous.
Western Canadian Music Awards; There are some interesting categories. Also, I love the graphic.
In Whitehorse hey. I have a place to stay there …
That music sounds appropriate and much more enjoyable than most.
I liked that graphic too! One day I will make it to the north. Today is not that day.
Good morning. No Garf today?
