Hello Our Basement,
As we transition from our alternative-rock roots into a more psychedelic sound, “Shapes” is a very exciting new single for us to be sharing with you today.
While “Shapes” still encompasses some elements of our original tone, it introduces new elements of what you can continue to expect from us in future releases.
“Shapes” was recorded at several Toronto studios and will be included on our upcoming EP, a followup to our debut album Situations.
Thanks for listening! It’s safe to say we’re stoked on this new single and sound.
Shallow Waves
Hello
Hi Garf! Out of town yesterday. In town today…
Do you have a note from your Mom?
Good Morning Folks
Hi Scott
Garf: moms are dangerous…
https://twitter.com/inkydojikko/status/1125780769580830720
they make up around 50% of all parents
Not to be a downer or racist or anything, but the figure’s much higher in Black U.S. families. (Lots of out-of-wedlock kids)
From the wiki: “In New York City in 1925, 85% of kin-related Black households had two parents.[29] When Moynihan warned in his 1965 report on the coming destruction of the Black family, however, the out-of-wedlock birthrate had increased to 25% among the Black population.[27] This figure continued to rise over time and in 1991, 68% of Black children were born outside of marriage.[30] U.S. Census data from 2010 reveal that more African-American families consisted of single mothers than married households with both parents.[31] Most recently, in 2011; it was reported that 72% of Black babies were born to unmarried mothers.[26]

even people born out of wedlock have a father, they might not be around now, but they were there when the process was instigated
traditionally anyway
Yeah, technically (and traditionally) they’re “fathers”. Not so much if you ask the mom though. In any case, it’s probably not something to laugh about.
Good day all!
I would sure be pissed at my son if he talked that way to women. I highly doubt he would as I am pretty sure this single mom raised him better than that.
You never know what type of convo will be going on here!
Good morning
I have no idea how the conversation got here, and I was part of it
darbar, I suspect the son in question a) never does, in front of his mother, and b) is otherwise a classic basement webtroll. A person of low redeeming social value.
morgana: yeah, it’s not as though the internet were to communicate and inform and discuss…
I spent a few hours in a friends back yard last night. A nice time was had around the fire ring sipping a few bevy’s and listening to music. We all got into the singing mood when Stan Rogers Barret’s Privateers came up on the hosts playlist. Multigenerational Canadian Classic!
I am so grateful that I can take a day off from outside tasks today. While it is gorgeous out the sounds are simply atrocious; the twisting, groaning, crashing sounds of trees as whining chainsaws attack from all sides and then the chipper growls away as it consumes what was once a huge maple.
Did you stop the refresh without telling me? Ha! I didn’t think anyone had commented all day. Had I known I would have refreshed. Ha!
Oh that poor tree! Not the sounds I like to hear outside.
I didn’t stop refreshing but I did update wordpress and that might have paused it
Well I think the update fixed it for me. I will see how it goes!
