Hello Our Basement,
“Mistakes” is a song about failure and regret. A song about missing the mark.
It’s also a song of redemption and asking for forgiveness.
Humans often fall short. At the end of the day, we have to accept that we’re all trying our best.
What I hope to communicate through this song is that mercy and forgiveness are always an option.
We can either be slaves to our past mistakes or make peace with them and move on.
We can grace our enemies with forgiveness or we can die with bitter hearts.
“Mistakes” was recorded at Vancouver’s Echoplant Sound studio with Ryan Worsley.
Thank you very much for listening. I hope this song resonates with you in whatever way you need it to.

Titus has a helluva name! Good morning!
Hello,
How was your weekend?
The system ate my post.
(I left hit hanging, without posting, and “the system” went “hmm, we’re having troube finding that address”, after only 3/4 hour…)
Decent weekend, though being retired, I go “oh, it’s a long weekend, is it?” most often — mind you, I was pretty bad at seeing them coming (the long ones) back when I worked.
We got a 20 degree day yesterday, but then systems moved, and the wind started coming down from James Bay* with gusts up to 50 km/h — friggin’ cool today!
*correction, I just checked it, and that drift down came from even higher, easily from halfway up Hudson’s Bay. No wonder it was cool today!
“hit hanging” = “it hanging”
Late check in again.
Hi!
