Hey Our Basement!,
There’s a side of us we show to the world and the side that we don’t.
Our new song, “Something Else,” dives into the complexities of these two worlds.
This music video uses some old clips from the 60s (because why not?) in a dissociative way to try to showcase the overall message of intertwining our front with our truth, all while remaining somewhat opaque.
There is definitely an element to the song dealing with mental health and how that can affect positively or negatively one’s view of the world. We hope this track gets you thinking about certain issues, but with a sense of urgency and importance. We also hope it makes you dance.
We’re releasing our debut EP Slipstreams this Friday July 5th, and we can’t wait for you to hear it!
Good morning!
Hello
Hi peeps!
How’s everyone’s day going so far? Mine has been a bit busy morning but it is quieter at the moment.
I miss you all but my headaches are decreasing with less screen time so there that is.
Off to the market for yummy green stuff, optometrist, vaccine for jr, high school to pick up photos, dry cleaner for grad dress, seamstress for repair … that should finish off the morning as well as me.
I shared the Canada Day playlist with a few folks who really enjoyed it as did I. The beer song has a Nelson beer in it too.
I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend and the new week is good to you.
Less headaches is a good thing but you are missed. Thanks for checking in. Busy busy!
I am glad to hear some people enjoyed the playlist! BA Johnston is a hoot! The track is called Canadian Beers.
@Morganna, I only just found out tis morning that the movie Roxanne was filmed in Nelson, so I plan on watching it again to see what I can recognize
