Q1. Would you like to introduce yourself?
Hi! My name’s Amanda Jordan. I’m from Smiths Falls, Ontario. I recently graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Music and moved to Nashville with the intention to pursue my career as a singer/songwriter. My new single is called “Driving in the Dark” and it just landed on Canadian radio a few weeks ago!
Q2. Did you ever run away from home?
I did run away from home! Just once, though. I was about 12 and found some lemonade in the fridge in the garage. I didn’t know what “Hard” Lemonade meant at the time but after about 3 or 4 of those, my brother came home and found me singing to the dog. He knew something was up and I knew I was in trouble, so I ran away. I ran to the tree fort in the back yard. My brother who was 14 at the time took off in his truck looking for me.
Q3. How many pairs of shoes do you have?
Surprisingly, I don’t have a lot of shoes. I have one pair of running shoes, one pair of sandals – which are falling apart – and two pairs of heals. Recently, I ordered a pair of shoes online and I call them Cinderella shoes because I wore them for two hours one night and they pretty much died. Ordering shoes online isn’t the best idea. For some reason, I’ve never been a big shoe person but I’m trying to get better.
Q4. What are your irritating habits?
I’m the worst cook. I really try, though. I try to eat healthy and make chicken but I’m terrified I’m going to undercook it, so leave it in a little longer. Last time I tried that, the fire alarm went off in my apartment and I had to go and stick my head out the window and tell my neighbors that all was good. It was just me.
Q5. What has been your most glorious failure?
Probably failing my driving test 3 times. The lady who gave the test was so aggressive and mean. I worked really hard to get ready for those tests but I don’t think I’ll ever be confident in my driving because of her…or maybe it was me…whatever.
Q6. When did you last feel guilty?
I feel guilty for throwing a frozen water bottle at my twin brother when we were in grade 10. We were fighting and I had no idea it was frozen but I threw it and it almost broke his nose. To this day, I still feel bad about that.
Q7. Would you rather eat 2 cloves of garlic or 6 spoons of cod liver oil?
I would rather eat 20 spoons of cod liver oil than eat 1 clove of garlic. I hate garlic.
Q8. And, most importantly, what is your favorite type of cookie?
Double chocolate Chip! Hands down! I’m so basic when it comes to food! Haha!
Hello
Hiya. I like the answer to Q 7 the most.
I just found out that the Slocan Ramblers are playing not too far away from here at the end of the month, has anyone heard of them?

we are on the countdown for leaving for Quebec City. My staggeringly slow pace means all my time is going into the tasks to make that happen. See you all sometime …
Hello all!
I know of Slocan Ramblers but have never seen them live or listened much to their music. Bluegrass I think. They seem to have a following around here. Might be worth checking out.
I like Amanda’s answers. The Hard Lemonade story in particular. Ha!
Sending you some healing vibes and energy morgana!
Hello
Hiya Scott. 🙂
I have extra tickets for Justin Rutledge/Charlotte Cornfield tonight. Anybody free to swing by and come to the show? :p
I am going to Hollerado on Friday and Jeremy Dutcher with the RSO on Saturday. I could have had tickets for Sweet Alibi tomorrow night as well, but declined. Tis the season for an abundance of shows on the prairies. Have to get them in when you can, as once winter hits they stop coming here.
