Hi Our Basement,
My new single, “Can’t Stop the Havelots,” from my self-titled debut album, is a reaction to modern society and late capitalism.
It is a plea for greater understanding of one another regardless of social strata and a reprioritization of what is truly meaningful and fulfilling in life.
I pushed myself with this record, using both programmed beats and acoustic drums performed live on “Can’t Stop the Havelots,” which features 100+ tracks to create a beast that bangs.
My debut presents substance with a vision, as I believe that music is powerful enough to elevate and influence our society for the greater good. Art can be a harbinger of change.
Thank you for listening. If you connect with the track, feel free to share!

Good Morning
Hello
I will get the hang of our time zones being 1 hour closer just in time for, most of, North America to put thier clocks back
Hiya. Time conventions are really screwed up, compared to geography anyway. Add in daylight saving or not, and it’s quite the dog’s breakfast.
Note the time zone 90 degree jogs on this map; as well as time shifts.

Hello!
You figured it out Scott. 😀
Ugh time changes. I am glad ours doesn’t change but I sure wish the other provinces would stay the same time too. I have to remember we are the same as Alberta in the summer and the same as Manitoba in the winter. It took me decades to get that to stick in my brain.
Dar, for Ottawa latitudes, it makes perfect sense — except that summer hours now last too late in the year. It was better at about 2-3 weeks less at both ends. I blame the US.
In Ottawa the sun rises, in the deep of summer, as early as 4:20; now, before “Fall back”, it rises after 7– it would in the summer rise at 3:20 or so “real time”. Nice to have the sun set around 8:20 or :50, instead of 7:20 or :50.
I, for one, have no trouble at all adapting.
Winter is dark when you get up and dark when you go home from work. Summer is light when you get up and light much longer after work. I really can’t see it making much difference to us here.
Well, that’s oversimplifying things: sunrise and sunset times change continuously. If you want to know, for some reason, what difference daylight saving might make in Regina, you can use this.

I was oversimplifying on purpose. It seemed that simple to me. The sun rises and the sun sets every day. I adjust to what it is doing without feeling the need to change my clock.
That graph is cool.
