I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas wherever and with whomever they spent it. I can’t believe another year and another decade are nearly done!
The last Release Radar of the year is our playlist this week. We have both a Spotify Release Radar playlist and a YouTube new video release playlist to help you discover new music. Some of the songs in the videos in the YouTube playlist can also be found on the Spotify playlist but the playlists are very different and you should check them both out.
The YouTube playlist has over 20 new uploads this month. There are new releases, cover videos and live videos, Christmas videos and some of the videos we have featured here at OurBasement as well. There is lots to watch and discover in the playlist so I encourage you to check it out.
The Spotify Release Radar playlist has over 150 songs on it this month. The tracks are all new releases with some being teasers for upcoming albums, some from just released albums or eps, singles, and a bunch of Christmas songs at the end too. There are also many tracks from artists that have been featured here on OurBasement. This month I was most excited about the songs from Whoop-Szo, Metric, Anyway Gang, Holy Fuck, Rebecca Foon, KINLEY and so many others. Badge Époque Ensemble, Lightning Dust, Leif Vollebekk, Patrick Watson, and Mappe Of all had more new tracks for us to enjoy this month as well. I am so proud of all the talented artists we have in Canada.
Enjoy the playlists! I hope you find a favourite or a new discovery you love.
Have a very Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year!!
Happy New Year!!
And hello again! Nice to see someone else drop in. 😀
It’s nice to be back! I was off Christmassing from Dec 23 up to today.
Back to work now, it’s a short week though.
I have been in and out. I hope you enjoyed your holidays!
It was good. Lots of running around visiting family & friends. A couple of relaxing days.
As much fun as it all is it’s nice to settle into routine again though.
I would love if my routine included not coming to work! Ha!
I enjoyed my holidays but didn’t get enough of it.
I’m one of the lucky ones that has a job they enjoy. I’m not sure what I would do all day otherwise. I guess I’ll have to figure that out when I retire. Hopefully not for a while yet.
I could do with more holidays for trips and camping though. No winter camping for me though, I’m strictly a glamping kind of guy.
I am in rehearsals for a play about 2 retired couples right now. Mostly about the men and their figuring out what to do after they retire. It is quite funny and seems pretty accurate.
I have lots of things in my life that keep me busy. Work just gets in the way. I sure would like to get paid for all those other things though.
That sounds fun. When is opening night?
Opening night is Feb 12 and it runs from the 12th to the 15th. A lot of work goes into 4 performances!!
