Hi Our Basement,
My new song, “Washington,” taken from my self-titled sophomore album (out February 21st) was inspired by attending the Women’s March in Charlottetown, PEI, on January 21st, 2017.
I wanted to do something to help the movement along and I did it the best way I know how – through a song.
“Washington” sends a positive message of womxn’s empowerment to everyone who walked on Washington, from the Women’s Suffrage Parade of 1913, to the Women’s March in 2017.
So many womxn have been fighting for this for so long, the time is right now for it to be fully realized.
I am with you in the fight for equality, every day of the week.
I recorded “Washington” with Colin Buchanan, who worked with me to create more of an upbeat feel than a previous version of the track. Aaron Comeau added guitar and my father played drums and snare drum to capture the song’s marching feel.
Thanks for listening. I look forward to sharing the rest of my new album with you on February 21st.
If you like what you hear, feel free to share with a friend.

Good Morning
Hi Dar,
I appreciated Mahler Symphony #8 snuck into the middle of last weeks release radar.
It caught me off guard in a good way.
Thank-you
