St. Patrick’s Day is coming up, so I put together a Canadian St. Patrick’s Day playlist for us this week. I found music from Canadian artists to fit the theme. It isn’t all Irish, there is celtic music, east coast music, and indie music that all said St. Patrick’s Day to me in some way.
St Patrick’s Day marks the feast day and anniversary of the death of a Christian missionary known as Patrick. St Patrick’s Day celebrations were brought to Canada by Irish immigrants. The day is a bank holiday in Northern Ireland and a public holiday in the Republic of Ireland. In the rest of the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia and New Zealand, it is celebrated, but is not an official holiday. St Patrick’s Day is an official holiday in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. (Source: Time and Date).
Whether you like to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Green Beer or with Shamrock Shakes, this playlist should help with those celebrations. May the luck of the Irish smile on ya!
Thanks Dar.
I always look forward to Thursdays and Fridays new music and playlists.
Good morning Scott! The playlist has a definite celtic vibe this week!
Good day everyone!
Hi justin, How are you?
Hey Dar, I listened to the playlist. Spotify carried on with other songs after. One of them was “the Idiot” by Stan Rogers. definitely a celtic feel to his music. but it’s about east coasters working in the west.
Hey Justin!
Thanks for the tip Scott. I will check it out.
