Hey Our Basement,
I am writing to share my new track, “Dirty,” with you, taken from my forthcoming album, Valentine (to be released April 24th). Inspired by a flirty night out, this song is about getting screwed over but having fun in the process. It’s a fun and goofy take on falling in and out of love – a lighthearted view of getting dumped.
I self-produced “Dirty,” as well as the entirety of Valentine, mixing and recording an entire project by myself for the first time. This was a learning process that allowed me to experiment with different genres through writing concise songs. Valentine tells the story of a lonely lover boy and through doing so provides an inside look at everything I like to create.
I wanted to give someone else complete creative control of the visual aspect after I created all of the album by myself. The music video for “Dirty” is Stephen Trivieri’s insane vision of chaos inspired by being done dirty.
I am excited to take you further into my world and share the variety of genres that make up this record.
Thank you for listening,
Scott Goodwin
Hi folks.
I enjoyed this video. Fun stuff and the song is good too.
Good Morning Dar,
I haven’t listened yet, i’m still working on the Release Radar playlist.
I may listen later today, I think I’ll be done the playlist by then.
Haha! It is a long one. :p
Hello
Hey Garf! How’s it going?
Good afternoon folks.
It took a while to get the teenager moving this morning and a walk then exhausted me but here I am now …
The rest of the afternoon is going to consist of caffeinated tea to get my rear in gear then making a pot of soup and replacing the mason bee tubes in their homes.
I have not made it through the release radar either so i’m diving back in;)
I have had a few days of frustration and headaches getting this working from home set up working. I think I finally have everything working now! Whew. If I didn’t think this would be longer term, I wouldn’t have gone to the trouble.
Teenagers have a different internal time clock. My son used to rant about that.
Time for me to find something for dinner.
