Hello Our Basement,
When my daughter, Charlotte, came up with the visuals for “Guérir es Hommes,” I never thought the concept would be so relevant to what would be happening today with this virus and the self-isolation the whole world is going through.
People are feeling more and more alone with time.
It’s important to not forget that we can be there for one another.
The inspiration comes from the cover of the single. It’s a photograph of the two actors who are beekeepers in their daily life, taking care of their bees together. The action of the photograph suited well with the title of the song, “Guérir les hommes,” since bees are fundamental for our existence.
It was interesting to develop this idea into moving-image.
This song talks about healing, being there for one another; trusting ourselves to think with our hearts.
We wanted to make a video that reflects the idea of wanting to feel close to people.
It’s important to not forget that we can be there for one another, and that this will be over at one point.

Good morning. I have snow and sun today. For starters I am listening to some NACO lunch break here
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL90GqA5xhozq9vZwEpm-7VB5o-DxYHuBN
then I will check the other offerings they have today and set my alarm so I don’t miss them.
Also, I’m checking out Side Door daily for shows.
What are you doing to keep up on your live entertainment?
A bee keeper in the snow? Makes a little more sense after reading the description. The song seems (my French is terrible) relevant to the times and makes me think of my Mom. I am becoming more worried for my Mom the longer the distancing goes on. She is alone and not doing well with not being able to go out. You know, when you can’t be bothered to do the basics because what difference does it make ….
Hello Everyone, hope you all had a good weekend.
Hi Morgana, I hope your mom is doing OK. I certainly get it. It is a special talent to be able to be alone and still have the discipline to do the basics. My family are calling our folks every day, just to help the time pass for them. We try to space the calls out so the don’t all come at once.
Hi guys.
Aww, that is a worry. I hope your mom gets through this okay.
I actually haven’t caught a lot of the live music streams yet. I watched a few, but I am still trying to work from home and manage a couple homes, and learning how to record radio shows at home, a cat that died, it is all keeping me busy so far. I love what I have seen happening in the music scene though. I wish I had seen Danny Michel yesterday. It looked like it was a good one.
