Hello Our Basement,
When I was 18 years old, I moved from Montreal to Toronto to go to university. Before moving into my new apartment in Toronto, I spent a night at this Motel 6 on the side of the highway, about to cross a ‘life threshold,’ starting out in a new city.
Many years later, after sudden and unexpected events in my personal life, I went on a tour that concluded in Montreal. Once again, I found myself driving from Montreal to Toronto about to start my life all over again. I ended up in the same Motel 6, where the time between my visit as an 18 year old and the present felt ‘paper thin.’
“Paper Thin” is about restarting and that strength that we find in ourselves during our hardest moments. Through catharsis and release, we are able to heal and a new sense of self emerges.
I want “Paper Thin” to transcend my story and be about what you are going through.
Thank you for listening.
PETER KATZ
Good morning.
Good Morning
So we meet again. How’s the day going so far?
It’s going well. I have to go out later today to deliver one violin and pick up another one.
It’s kind of like how they do ransom exchanges on the TV crime shows. You set the case on the ground and step away, the other person will move in and pick it up.
How’s your day?
I missed your radio show yesterday. is it still available, or was it live?
Haha! It is weird. That was how my Easter dinner delivery was too.
The radio show was a recorded version I sent in in sections. I could possibly combine them and upload them somewhere.
Don’t go to alot of extra work just for me.
One of these days I’ll catch your show, usually I’m offline by 4:30pm in Ontario though
There were others that missed it and wanted to hear it. I will check it out later. There is some CRTC rule about recording the shows but these are more like podcast recordings so it shouldn’t be a problem.
