The playlist this week is full of new releases. The world is still on pause but the music plays on. Music can help get us through and Canadian artists are bringing us plenty of new music to choose from. We have both a Spotify Release Radar playlist and a YouTube new video release playlist to help you discover new music.
The YouTube playlist has over 40 new uploads this month. The videos are usually pretty fun to check out and I encourage you to do so.
The Spotify Release Radar playlist has close to 150 songs on it this month. The tracks are all new releases with some being teasers for upcoming albums, some from just released albums or eps, and some are covers. There are also many tracks from artists that have been featured here on OurBasement and some I found through Exclaim. This month I was most excited about the songs from Sattelite and The Harpoonist, Like A Motorcycle, Rich Aucoin, Jill Barber, Melted Wings and so many others. Bruce Peninsula, The Jerry Cans, NOBRO, The Pack A.D., Jessie Reyez and others all had more new tracks for us to enjoy this month as well. I am so proud of all the talented artists we have in Canada.

I’m impressed with the Youtube playlist. I especially liked Oliver Picket (Ithink that was the name) and the singer who followed him in the playlist
