Hey Our Basement,
I’ve been spending the current zombie apocalypse on a rural property on the outskirts of Toronto, listening to Black Sabbath and making demonic masks for my band to wear in the official video for “Call Me What You Want,” my brand new single.
Bring the anger, the smashing, the crashing energy that I sometimes feel when I listen to heavy music.
That head bang and dance you do when you’re alone, when you let yourself go for a moment.
I’m really excited to drop the music video. No perfect lighting setting, no planned shots… just me in raw form, letting the animal out and being free. It’s amazing because I get to work with my brother on the creative side with his company Virul Media and the great director that is Erik Damas.
“Call Me What You Want” is a who gives a fuck what anyone thinks of you, drive down the highway singing at the top of your lungs with the music blasting kind of song.
If you haven’t tried this yet, I highly suggest it.
Let it out, let it go.
DYLYN
Good Morning
Good morning Scott.
Have you ever driven down the highway singing at the top of your lungs? I sure have. I try not to when other people are in the car though, for their sake.
Yes, That’s about the only time I sing. Typically with the windows up, so I don’t get accused of hearing abuse.
Haha! I do care less now about who hears me sing. Sorry people out there.
I was always proud of my dad for singing in public even if he seems to be tone deaf. I get a lot of my love of music from him. Just because we aren’t good at making it doesn’t mean we can’t get joy out of it. 😀
That is so true!
I enjoy playing the violin. Although not every one appreciates my playing.
I have a strong urge to get my drum kit set up again now! Nobody else living back at my house right now, I can bang away all I want there now. Ha!
It’s the perfect opportunity. Go for it.
I am confined with my wife, so no violin playing until I get back to the office.
Today it’s so humid I would be afraid to even open the case, violins & bows do not like humidity.
And here it is too dry! A happy medium would be nice.
I think I will head over there today and set them up. Last week I got it moved down to the basement living room finally. Inspired!
Awesome, have fun!
