The OurBasement playlist this week is the Release Radar for August/2020 and is full of all the new music Canadian artists have been creating. We have a Spotify Release Radar playlist, a condensed Spotify Release Radar and a YouTube new video release playlist to help you discover new music.
The YouTube playlist has close to 20 new uploads this month. The videos are usually pretty fun to check out and I encourage you to do so.
The Spotify Release Radar playlist has over 150 songs on it this month! The tracks are all new releases with some being teasers for upcoming albums, some from just released albums or eps, and some are stand alone singles. There are some tracks discovered through Exclaim or !Earshot and some from here on OurBasement. This month I was most excited about the songs from Arkells, PUP, Miesha and the Spanks, Hayden Desser and many others. Peaches, Dizzy, The Zolas, Kathleen Edwards, Half Moon Run and others all had more new tracks for us to enjoy this month as well.
Enjoy the playlists! You may just find your new favourite track or artist.
Here is the Spotify Playlist. (embedding is currently not working for me)
Do you want to make and share a playlist? I am away next week and would love if someone else wanted to take a turn. If not, I am sure Garf will come up with something. Have a great week!
Good morning!
Hopefully I can get Spotify to embed at some point but until then, use the link below the YouTube playlist.
Liz and I saw Rufus at the Orpheum last year. He is quite the showman! I am living on the fumes of last years shows but I do have one on line show coming up; Gord Grdina through Sidedoor on Sunday.
Hello morgana!
He seems like a pro entertainer. I just haven’t fit online shows into my routine. I sit on screens and listen to music all day either for work or working on playlists/recording radio shows, that I think I just have enough of sitting at the computer. I am very much missing festivals this summer though. I also am low on funds these days. I need to get a part time job somewhere.
How are you doing? Enjoying your roof top balcony?
The rooftop balcony is great but broke the bank so I am glad I bought the Gord Grdina ticket last month.
It is a strange world without summer concerts but we have been able to do quite a bit of camping to ease our souls.
I am happy you got camping in. I haven’t been able to do that, so it feels like summer hasn’t started and it is almost over! We are going out to my cousin’s cabin next week. I am hoping for a good week with my sis out there.
Going to spend my last day in dungeon #1. They sold the building and I need to pack up some stuff! I am happy you dropped in!
Have fun moving!
