The playlist this week is in honour of Remembrance Day. It is important to honour and remember those that have fought and those that have fallen to give us the freedom and peace we have today. It is important to remember and be thankful. We are doing it OurBasement style with Canadian Indie Music that is related to Remembrance Day in some way. There are a few that actually are about Remembrance Day and the rest are about war, peace, soldiers, courage, freedom, etc. Enjoy the playlist but don’t forget to pause for a moment on Wednesday to pay your respect.
*Honour and Remember
The Remembrance Day Ceremony has played a major role in Remembrance since 1931. Every year, at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, we gather in memorial parks, community halls, workplaces, schools and homes to stand in honour of all who have fallen. This too will be different this year. Together, we observe a moment of silence to mark the sacrifice of the many who have fallen in the service of their country, and to acknowledge the courage of those who still serve.
The Act of Remembrance
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
We will remember them.*

Good morning.
I had a slight delay in posting as I lost track of days. My sister is in her final days. It’s been a tough week and only going to get worse. 🙁
Thanks for this Dar, I appreciate it.
Sorry about your sister. You have been a good support for her.
End of life is never easy for anyone.
I will keep you & your family in my thoughts & prayers.
Thanks Scott! <3
