This week’s playlist is a continuation of our cross country journey we are going on this year, with a listen to some Manitoba Melodies. Back in the early days of OurBasement, we took this journey before and I thought it was time to take it again. On October 1 of 2016 we had a stop in Manitoba and we are back in 2021 to hear what is new in this prairie province. It also happens to be when I started taking over with the playlists. I have updated that playlist, added a few more that I found from various sources and then went to Manitoba Music and found some more artists. I was mostly concentrating on some of the artists that have released music more recently.

Friendly Manitoba is where Canada’s Heart Beats and those beats have a pretty great rhythm. The first part of the playlist is newer tracks from some favourite Manitoba artists on that original playlist, followed by some artists that I found on !Earshot Distro and Manitoba Music and a few others I knew of, and then some older tracks from some more artists from the original playlist. There is both a Spotify version and a YouTube version for your listening pleasure.
