Yes, Autumn’s here and we have some great Canadian Indie Autumn tunes to listen to and ease us into the season. The playlist this week is an Autumn playlist that gets updated yearly. It is full of songs of Autumn and songs that loosely fit into the theme. Most of the music is pretty chill and fit the season very well. It is a little cooler and the sweaters are coming out and the leaves are changing colours. The days are getting shorter and the geese are doing their practice flights. All signs that the season is changing from summer to fall and onto winter but let’s not think about that right now and just enjoy this season while we are in it.
In Canada and the rest of the northern hemisphere, the first day of the autumn season is the day of the year when the Sun crosses the celestial equator moving southward (on September 22nd or 23rd). This day is known as the Autumnal Equinox. (Calendar Updates)
Fall or autumn in Canada is a wonderful time of the year. In central and eastern Canada, cooler temperatures in September provide relief from the heat and humidity of August and leaves on the trees begin their transformation to stunning shades of orange, red, and yellow. Many people travel to take in this spectacular fall foliage in Canada. Intensity and variety of color are not as pronounced in western provinces, though the yellow larch makes for stunning autumn landscapes. (TripSavvy)
I hope the playlist helps you enjoy the wonderful season of fall. Embrace it and enjoy the beauty of your surroundings.
Happy Fall!
