Q1, Would you like to introduce yourself?
Hey Our Basement! My name is Nicole Sumerlyn, I’m a country artist currently calling Vancouver, BC my home. After 10+ years touring around Western Canada and Nashville, I’ve released two singles this year, “Over A Drink” and my newest one, “Floatin’”, which is a lazy river summer tune. I’m so happy that I’ve started sharing my song babies with the world. My heart beats for singing country music and making cupcakes. I’ve been known to like my whiskey and flip my hair on stage a lot. Get to know me below! Thanks for reading!
Q2, Are you a good cook?
Let’s just say I don’t believe in buying anything ‘pre-made’ from the grocery store. My parents both raised me to be a good cook! Everyone in my family are huge foodies. However we are all control freaks in the kitchen, so it’s very chaotic at Thanksgiving.
Q3, How successful do you think you are?
I really feel like there are different levels and ideas of what success means. I’m always reaching for new goals. It’s easy to keep chasing the next thing and not being satisfied with where I’m currently at. However, when I think about how far I’ve come and the amazing accomplishments and opportunities I’ve been able to have, I’d say things are going pretty good!
Q4, What are your phobias?
I’m really not a big needle fan. Even though I have tattoos and piercings, something about needles in a hospital setting always makes me pass out. It’s not a cute moment for me.
Q5, What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Cookie dough!
Q6, When did you last have a haircut?
July! By my girl Georgia Dominelli at Brush Salon. The best.
Q7, Who would you credit most for helping with your success?
So many people. My publicist Jasper has been by my side for years. My patient and badass producers, Taylor Allum and Mitch Merrett, have been huge mentors for me as well.
Q8, And, most importantly, what is your favorite type of cookie?
A dipped triple chocolate chip. Classic but with flare.
