Hey there Our Basement,
The feeling of isolation during the beginnings of the pandemic led me to dream of a “Wheel Of Love,” a tangible concept for which somebody could spin and generate a feeling of security during uncertain times.
I wrote this song sitting on the edge of my significant other and I’s bathtub in a very small basement apartment that we had rented in Toronto, expecting to be on tour most of the year.
When the pandemic hit, this apartment became our world, which led me to spend a lot of time writing and recording demos in our bathroom.
Both Erik and I hope that “Wheel of Love” can help carry all of us into this next period of our lives, continually spinning through the ups and downs.
