We are compelled to compete disgustingly, and disingenuously with our peers, our neighbours, with chatbots, with Instagram filters. Value is determined by algorithms and scales that are heavily weighted against us and which have nothing to do with anything that anyone actually wants.
We’re told to fight. We’re told to kill each other to get what we want. We’re polarised and set into a ring and prodded into engaging in bloodsport. We’re being turned into narcissists and psychopaths and our attention is being monopolised at a savage and unrelenting pace. T
This new single is the sound of this struggle, set against towering synthesisers and driven ever onward by Liam O’Neill [SUUNS] on drums.
We’re so engaged with the articulate, Existential, Emptiness.
The music my ongoing series, Bodies, flows from extremity to extremity while highlighting a collective, cultural, human, whole. It is a reflection of the violent and emotionally devastating time we live in while celebrating the beauty and vastness of spirit possible when we indulge in our ability to be undeniably curious, attentive, and compassionate.
Thanks for listening,
AGATH CHRIST
