Hi Our Basement,
I’m Steven Doman, a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and audio engineer, currently based in Montreal. My first single, “Follow the Ripples,” was written for the film En Eclaireuses by Constance Chaput-Raby. It’s a documentary about a group of girl-scouts adventuring in the forests of Estrie, Québec.
“Follow the Ripples” is taken from my self-produced EP, Our Lady of the High Appalachian Mountains.
Tulip’s head above the breeze / Pendulum in the wind
The album is centred around the vibe of the tranquil permaculture-inspired organic farm of my partner’s family, located in the High Appalachian Mountains of Québec. I fell in love with the land in 2016, with its sweeping views of blue rolling hills and stunning sunrises and sunsets. Now, I am putting down roots of my own there with the construction of my own creative space through music.
Thank you for listening,
Steven Doman
