It is a double playlist week! There is a Canadian Indie Father’s Day playlist and a National Indigenous History Month playlist. Bonus!
June is National Indigenous History Month and June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day. This is a time for all Canadians to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. One way to celebrate is by sharing their music and letting their voices be heard.
You can learn more about the rich and diverse cultures, voices, experiences and histories of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples at the Government of Canada site.
The more we learn the more we can understand. Let’s open our ears and our hearts to these stories and then find ways to be part of the change. But first let’s take a listen to what some of the Canadian Indigenous artist have to tell us through music.
And a bonus playlist this week for Father’s Day as well. Happy Father’s Day to all the dad’s out there!
Howdy!
Hi, thanks for this!
