Hello Our Basement,
When I first became a father, it was a major transition to having everything revolve around someone else. Even though I love my children and my family deeply, I found that on the rare occasion that I got a chance to go out with friends I would try to make it last as long as possible, staying out way too late and sometimes not getting home until the next morning.
Our reflective new track, “Devils Working Late,” is about trying to adapt to change but sometimes giving in to the devil on your shoulder.
Some say the Devil is just doing his job,
it’s like six more souls and he’s punching the clock.
For us, writing music is a very therapeutic experience. As a band, we try to write songs about the things we are struggling with and mix them with fun upbeat melodies. It seems to be an excellent way to blow off some steam and gain some perspective.
I think it is a reall human experience to miss the past even when your life is progressing to something better. I think it is something that everyone feels at some point or another in our lives.
Thanks for listening,
Greg from Luke Warm and The Cold Ones
