Music has the power to bring people together for a cause, and this week, we’re using that power to support Salthaven West Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Centre. From March 28 to April 3, every donation made to Salthaven West will be matched up to $10,000 thanks to a generous anonymous donor. To help spread the word and keep the momentum going, we’ve curated a special playlist of Canadian indie music inspired by nature, wildlife, and the beauty of the great outdoors.
Tune in to AccessNow Community Radio 91.3 FM!
We’re also teaming up with 91.3 FM CJTR AccessNow Community Radio to bring you a Radiothon-style broadcast in support of Salthaven West! Longtime CJTR listeners might remember Radiothon, the station’s annual fundraiser where messages were delivered hourly throughout the week. While the station no longer needs to raise funds in the same way, this year, we’re harnessing that same people power to amplify Salthaven’s mission and help wildlife in need.
From March 28 to April 3, hosts across the station will be airing special messages to spread the word about this $10K matching fundraiser. If you tune in, you’ll hear about the campaign and how you can make a double-impact donation to help build Salthaven West’s much-needed Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic just north of Regina.
Be sure to catch DarBar’s show, The Basement, on Monday from 4 to 6 pm CST, where you’ll hear some of the Canadian Indie tunes featured in our playlist—the perfect soundtrack to celebrate and support wildlife rehabilitation!

Why This Matters
After two years of fundraising, Salthaven West has raised $400,000 of the $700,000 goal needed to build the new Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic. Without this new facility, southern Saskatchewan will have very limited options for wildlife rescue and rehabilitation after summer 2025.
And if you need any extra encouragement, just take it from Salthaven West’s resident Plain Garter Snake Patient 25-072, who had this to say: “Ssssssssssssss Ssssssssssssssssss Ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.”
(Translation: “Thank you for supporting wildlife!”)
So tune in, turn up the volume, and help us make a difference! Whether you’re listening to the playlist or catching a segment on 91.3 FM CJTR AccessNow Radio, your support helps ensure Saskatchewan’s wildlife gets the care they need.
Hit play, donate if you can, and let’s make a difference—one song at a time.
